Description
Delicate Japanese wrapped stitches meet slip-stitched color in a stunningly beautiful design. Paint the lines of faded antique lace by pairing a solid with a similarly toned variegated yarn. A brioche look-alike that’s as simple as knit-purl! The clean knitted-on I-Cord edge is the origin of a twisted-stitch cable that snakes back and forth across the outside edges.
This is a twisted knit & purl rib that is knit using one color at a time by slipping stitches. The working yarns will be carried up the side and are cleverly hidden by knitted I-Cord edges. The twisted knit cable remains a single color. Be sure to carry the floats on the WS loosely. Tip: You needn’t use a separate cable needle! On the wraps, simply bring the working yarn to the front after working the stitches and pass the three stitches back and forth between the two needles as you wrap the yarn counterclockwise around the stitches. With the cable, carefully pinch the stitches being moved while you pass the other two stitches between the needles.
